Galena Bed and Breakfast to Get Legal Approval to Serve Marijuana to Guests

There is good news for Marijuana users who want to spend some quality time in a homely ambiance. The Aldrich Guest House in Galena, Illinois, owned by Robert and Douglas Mahan, with 50 years of experience in hospitality and management, is going to get an approval to serve Marijuana to its guests but only for recreational purposes.

Following the legalizing of Marijuana in Illinois in 2020, the guest house has announced to open a “potting shed” for its marijuana users. It will be completed by December 2019, and the “potting shed” will be open to the users from January 1, 2020. However, marijuana can only be used inside the Illinois home; the homeowners in Illinois are trying to take this competitive advantage for this new business opportunity.

The detached “potting shed” is ordered with a 12X12 shed that will allow the guests to smoke recreational marijuana there. The owners Robert and Douglas Mahan, seemed very excited about their new venture to be able to offer their guests with something that they would really appreciate. Robert Mahan said,

We wanted to make it to where those who wanted to consume could without bothering or infringing on people who don’t want to engage with cannabis. We’ve gotten a lot of reservations specifically because of it already. And we haven’t even really announced it a lot yet. Legalization hasn’t actually taken effect. So, I think it’s going to be a really positive thing for us.

Douglas also felt very positive about this new business and said that the “potting shed” would be having other amenities as well, like free WiFi, heat/AC, snacks bar, and TV, all meant to give ecstatic pleasure to the guests. This is the very first bed and breakfast in Illinois to incorporate this idea of serving recreational marijuana to guests and therefore, the reservation has already started and many guests have already turned in and completed their reservations for and after January 1, 2020.
